Sharp, shiny, and dangerous, knives evoke a primal fear in many of us. Some of us are drawn towards that danger. Knives can be used to draw blood, certainly, but they can also create sensual ripples on a bottom’s delicate flesh. For some, even the sight of a knife introduces a complicated element into a scene. Whether you already love the weight of a knife in your hand, or the sensation of one being drawn across your skin, or you are new to the idea of playing with these threatening objects, you should find something to enjoy in this presentation. We will cover basic safety and care of both the bottom and the equipment. In addition, using several demos, we’ll look at a variety of techniques for incorporating knives into your play.

Presenter Bio(s)

Karen, aka Estrella, is a fierce and empathic genderqueer femme Top who’s lived and breathed BDSM for twenty five years. She’s presented widely for both local and national organizations, and enjoys showing class participants new and exciting twists on whatever topic is being addressed. She is happily poly, and enjoys strong, vibrant relationships with a number of wonderful people, including a brilliant artist as a primary partner. When it comes to kink, Karen is happiest when she has a willing, masochistic bottom firmly in hand. She enjoys wielding a wide variety of implements, but her favorite toy is her mind.
