Caning 101 – An Introduction to the Pains and Pleasures

This workshop will cover the basic techniques of using a cane for pain and pleasure. We will also discuss some of the history and traditions surrounding canes, the types of canes available today and their care. This toy strikes fear into the souls of many bottoms at its very mention – come find out WHY. Volunteers from the audience are welcome.

Glenda Rider founded her first BDSM/leather group, Lesborados in 1991 and was the first female Eagle Bar titleholder as Ms Baltimore Eagle 1992. In 1993 she founded FIST – Females Investigating Sexual Terrain, a backpatch club which is still vibrant today.

Retired from the Boards of the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom and the Leather Leadership Conference, Glenda has received numerous awards including Pantheon of Leather’s Woman of the Year; Black Rose’s Distinguished Elder; and Leather University’s Tony DeBlase Educator.

In 1996, she founded Play House Studios, a play space in Baltimore decorated with her extensive fetish art collection. Glenda has been the Owner and one of the Producers of International Ms Leather since 2006 – the next IMsL Weekend celebrates the 15th Annual International Ms Bootblack Contest and will be held in the Spring of 2013 in San Francisco, please visit www.IMsL.org for more info.

Glenda lives in Oakland with her Leather Family when she is not on the road teaching, judging or volunteering at a Leather Community event, and she fears the day her Mother learns how to use Google.
